ACB first achieved certification to the BS EN ISO 14001:2004 standard on 3rd September 2010, following a thorough assessment conducted by BSI.
In March 2011, ACB successfully maintained its certification to ISO 14001.
ISO 14001 is an international standard that specifies a process for controlling and improving a company's environmental performance.
The two main requirements of the ISO 14001 standard are that businesses:
- comply with current legislation and regulations governing environmental issues that are relevant to their operation, and
- commit to a process of continuous improvement in their environmental performance.
Awarding of the certification demonstrates ACB's continued commitment to protecting the environment, preventing pollution and improving our environmental performance.
