ISO 9001:2015 QMS Certification

ACB first achieved certification to the BS EN ISO 9001:2000 standard on 6th March 2006, following a thorough two-day assessment conducted by BSI.

In July 2009, ACB's annual one-day BSI assessment, this time to the BS EN ISO 9001:2008 version of the standard, was conducted and certification retained.

In early 2016, ACB took the decision to work towards achieving certification to the latest version of the standard, BS EN ISO 9001:2015, at its next annual BSI assessment in 2017.  Following a successful readiness review in March 2017 and the annual one-day BSI assessment in May 2017, ACB successfully achieved transition to BS EN ISO 9001:2015.

ACB has successfully maintained its certification to ISO 9001 since March 2006.  Annual assessments are conducted by BSI.

Awarding of the certification demonstrates ACB's continued commitment to achieving high standards of performance to supply our clients with the highest professional and quality service.

This internationally recognised certification for quality is a standard in use worldwide as a benchmark for quality.

Core quality management principles covered by ISO 9001 include customer focus, leadership, people involvement, continual improvement, a factual approach to decision making and a mutually beneficial supplier relationship.

ISO 14001:2015 EMS Certification

ACB first achieved certification to the BS EN ISO 14001:2004 standard on 3rd September 2010, following a thorough assessment conducted by BSI.

In March 2011, ACB successfully maintained its certification to ISO 14001.

In early 2016, ACB took the decision to work towards achieving certification to the latest version of the standard, BS EN ISO 14001:2015.  Following a successful readiness review by BSI in March 2017 and the annual one-day BSI assessment in May 2017, ACB successfully achieved transition to BS EN ISO 14001:2015.

ACB has successfully maintained its certification to ISO 14001 since September 2010, with annual assessments being conducted by BSI.

ISO 14001 is an international standard that specifies a process for controlling and improving a company's environmental performance.

The two main requirements of the ISO 14001 standard are that businesses:

  • comply with current legislation and regulations governing environmental issues that are relevant to their operation, and

  • commit to a process of continuous improvement in their environmental performance.

Awarding of the certification demonstrates ACB's continued commitment to protecting the environment, preventing pollution and improving our environmental performance.

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 ISMS

In mid-2017, and as a result of potential customer requirements, ACB decided to implement the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard, with a view to obtaining certification during 2018.  Following positive assessment audits conducted by BSI during 2018 – pre-certification in February, Stage 1 in June, and an in-depth Stage 2 in September – ACB successfully achieved certification to ISO 27001 in November 2018.

ACB has successfully maintained its certification to ISO/IEC 27001 since November 2018, with BSI conducting assessments annually.

ISO 27001 is an internationally recognised best practice framework that helps companies certified to the standard identify information security risks and put in place security measures that are right for the business, so that they can manage or reduce risks to their information.

By achieving certification to the standard, ACB can demonstrate that its management system meets international best practice and show customers, suppliers, and the market place that our organisation can handle information securely.
